I just love having conversations about learning with our Student Work Study Teachers (SWST) in Ontario. For those of you that have never heard of them, SWSTs are teachers collaborating with colleagues in the classroom using pedagogical documentation to research the impact of instruction and assessment on student learning. As the great initiative comes to its close in our province, so do their amazing annual suppositions. This year, you can read/watch/experience their research findings in the dynamic ways below:
- Start with Wahid Khan‘s stunning video series on the importance of Time for Inclusion and Equity in Mathematics;
- Go onto Elli Weisdorf‘s interactive Prezi about The Impact of Number Talks and Games in the Elementary Classroom;
- Explore Stepan Pruchnicky‘s fascinating dive into Modifying the Conditions Under Which Metacognition Occurs; and
- Join Patt Olivieri as she takes us on a ride of crucial questions in Disrupting Design: A Call to Re-Organize.
